Transitions Gen 8 Launching in the Philippines

Today, Essilor Philippines has launched the next generation of the Transitions lenses in the Philippines, the Transitions Signature Gen 8. This was done via a very successful Virtual Launching via Zoom.
Transitions, an international company known for its commitment to developing Photochromic lenses in the market for almost three decades, has further upgraded its lens design by improving the features of the previous Transitions lens design, the Transitions VII.
In the new generation, Transitions Gen 8, Disruptive Nano-Composite Matrix technology, and a New Generation of Ultra-Agile Dyes were applied. These technologies make the Transitions Gen 8 lenses clearer when indoors and darker when outdoors, the latter technology makes the lens last longer throughout the years.
Some notable improvements of the Transitions Signature Gen 8
It darkens 30% faster than its predecessor, the Transitions VII
Transitions Signature Gen 8 fade 3 minutes more quickly as compared to Transitions VII
The Gen 8 proves to be darker as compared to the Transitions VII
The new generation tends to be more clear indoors as compared to all the previous transitions lenses.
Ultimate Eye Protection. It provides 100% UVA and UVC protection and filters 20% of harmful blue lights, especially those coming from digital devices. Outdoors, it protects 87% of all harmful blue light.
Longer lasting performance, as compared to the Transitions VII.

The Brown color was improved in the Transitions Gen 8
The Transitions Gen 8 will come in different colors, such as Gray, Brown, Graphite Green, Sapphire, Amethyst, Emerald, Amber. Hopefully, we’ll be able to try and test the all-new Transitions Gen 8 as soon as they are available in the market.
