Cataract is one of the most common, and preventable diseases of the human eye. It’s one of those eye problems that tend to happen because of our age. CATARACTS ARE OPACITIES OF THE CRYSTALLINE LENS IN THE EYE CAUSING BLURRING OF VISION. It is on of the most common cause of preventable blindness.

Question #5: HOW DO YOU TREAT CATARACT?

SURGICAL MANAGEMENT IS THE STANDARD TREATMENT, but some cataracts can wait a while before surgery. THOSE STILL NOT NEEDING SURGERY CAN OPT TO HAVE THE BEST CORRECTED VISION PRESCRIPTION GIVEN.

There are multiple types of lenses offering additional benefits to the patient. Cataract surgery can be treated like a refractive surgery where we can minimize the need for glasses.

About Dr Jonathan Paroli, MD, PCOM, DPBO:

Dr. Jonathan is the eldest among the Paroli brothers. He took his residency training at the Jose B. Lingad Memorial Regional Hospital and undertook his Low Vision Fellowship at the Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute, the largest and oldest multidisciplinary Eye Hospital in Bangladesh.
